FHS PROM

  • Monday June 17, 2024 (6:30 pm -10:00 pm)  Location: UNB Student Union Building
  • Tickets will be sold through Cashless Schools from April 23 2024 to May 17 for $30 (plus applicable fees). Tickets purchased after May 17 will cost $35.00 (plus applicable fees) and must be purchased from Ms. Mersereau (debit/credit).
  • Only eligible graduates may purchase tickets for themselves and one guest. Guests may be no older than 21 years of age.  If a guest is asked to leave due to unexpected behavior, the graduate will be asked to leave as well. 
  • Parents are welcome to go to the UNB Student Union Building for the traditional β€œprom watch” and to view the procession from 6:30- 8:00 pm, PARENTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED IN THE VENUE.  
  • When a grad leaves prom, they are not permitted to return. There will be a DJ as well as punch, water, and finger foods available throughout the night. The last song is at 9:50pm.

FHS Safe GRAD

  • Monday June 17, 2024- Tuesday June 18, 2024 (11:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.)   Location: FHS    
  • Students are to notify their homeroom teacher by May 31 if they are planning to attend Safe Grad. 
  • Guests are not permitted to attend Safe Grad; this is an event for FHS Grads only.
  • Safe Grad will be held at Fredericton High School, with several activities planned throughout the night. Food and drinks will be provided all night.
  • Students with dietary restrictions including gluten free, and vegetarian will have food provided.
  • Students should arrive at the school anytime between 10:30pm and 11:00pm. 
  • Students must be dropped off by an adult. Vice-Principals will be greeting Grads at the F-WING doors and we will be conducting bag checks.
  • No outside food or drink will be permitted.  If students have signed up for Safe Grad and do not show, the school will be calling home to notify.  
  • Fredericton City Police may be in attendance throughout the night. Families should decide on morning pick up as we wish a safe return home.
  • Students can start to leave at 5:00am. If leaving Safe Grad at any point throughout the night, students must notify an administrator at the event, and a parent will be called for transportation.

Black Kat Scholar Award Application Form

All applicants must be students in good standing at Fredericton High School. A minimum of 85% is required at year end in each of grades
9, 10 and 11, and at the end of semester 1 and mid-semester 2 in grade 12 (with no mark
below 60%) for the application to qualify. This standard is upheld literally.

To qualify for this award, a graduating student must have demonstrated a commitment to and actively
participated in at least eight (8) school-based, non-athletic student activities. Participation in the same activity
for four years constitutes four (4) activities.

Athletic Large Small Yellow F

Large Yellow F – Awarded when a student has been a member of 8 teams over
four years of high school. The student must play on FHS teams registered and
sanctioned by the NBIAA. (e.g. 2 years of JV Soccer counts as 2 teams)
Small Yellow F – Awarded when a student has been a member of an FHS team
at the same level for 3 years (e.g. Varsity soccer grade 10, 11, 12, note that 2
years of JV and 2 years of Varsity in the same sport is NOT the same team) or a
student played on a combination of 5 different teams
